Mojave Desert Biodiversity Team: Modeling

Modeling eforts by the Biodiversity Team include defining wildlife habitats by landform rather than vegetation. Distribution of vertebrates in the Mojave Desert may be governed more by geomorphic and other abiotic factors than vegetation.

The LizLand model describes the landform habitats of four lizard species on the Marine Corps Air/Ground Combat Center in Twenty-Nine Palms and Joshua Trees National Park, California.
